Let’s Go to the Lake House

Hi, Friends! I recently heard a friend say, “summer’s almost over,” and it made me stop in my tracks. It may feel that way to some of us, especially those of us who are gearing up for “back to school” season, or those who view August 31 as the unofficial end of summer. I, for one, am still enjoying summer and looking ahead to more! What remains on your summer fun to-do list?

I highly recommend a trip to Lake Bomoseen, which is the largest lake entirely within Vermont’s borders. Head straight to the Lake House for a delicious nosh while watching the boats meander on the sparkling water, and the birds rest on the dock. It’s worth the drive just for the view alone.

You can easily hit up Bomoseen State Park or Crystal Beach before or after to launch a kayak or soak up some rays and swim the day away. Nothing says summer like a drink on the dock and a dip in the lake.

The Lake House Pub & Grille on Lake Bomoseen is open seasonally from May to October, with live music on their outdoor stage almost every week, so make sure it gets on the summer AND the fall to-do list soon!
