Celebrating Mother’s Day

Hello, Friends! Last year, I got rather sentimental for Mother’s Day, and while this year is no different, I’m turning my focus to the fun side of the Sunday holiday that celebrates the mother figures in our lives. 

Mother Myrick’s Confectionery / Inns of Dorset

Mother Myrick’s Annual Kids’ Cakes for Mom is a sweet, fun ,and creative way to celebrate! Mother Myrick's Confectionery invites children 4 to 8 years old, with an accompanying adult, to create a wonderful, delicious surprise for Mom's Day! They’ll supply a free vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and fun decorating supplies for each child. 

This super sweet event is a benefit for Project Against Violent Encounters (PAVE) in Bennington County. There is a $10 or more donation request per child. All proceeds go to the support of this important non profit for women & children.

Cake Decorating Sessions will be held at the Mother Myrick's retail store on: Friday, May 8 at 3:15pm and 4:15 pm; and Saturday, May 9 at 10am and 11am. Pre-register for one of the cake decorating sessions by calling (802) 362-1560. 

No matter how old the kids are, there’s plenty of places for brunch, dinner, and other exciting experiences available throughout the Shires.

To new moms and veteran moms 

To the moms who somehow juggle it all with grace

To the moms who feel like a hot mess much of the time, but still keep it together

To the single moms who do so much of it alone and still manage to be rock stars

To the working moms and the stay-at-home moms managing ALL the things

To the stepmoms who have become essential parts of the family

To the grandmothers who swoop in like superheroes just when they are needed

To the aunties and girlfriends who provide crucial support to the sisters and mom friends in their lives

To the pet moms raising furry babies

To the empty nest moms who are learning how to let go
